BusinessElite to Europe for lots less

BusinessElite to Europe for lots less

Every now and then airlines will put premium passage on sale. Passengers love it when they do. It brings front-cabin perks within reach of people who usually ride in the back. Delta Air Lines is running a Business Elite sale to Europe, with discount airfares starting as low as $1,229, each-way.

The reason the nation’s third-largest airline can afford to advertise rates like this is because they’re designed not to cut too deeply into the supply of last-minute, full-fare Business-Class seats it can loft. That’s because there are restrictions which make these deals appealling to leisure travelers, but less attractive to there-and-back business fliers.

There’s a 50-day advance purchase proviso, and you’ll have to stay over at least seven days.

All the discount airfares quoted below are one-way, and predicated on a round-trip purchase. Neither taxes nor fees are included in these rates. They’re extra.

- Atlanta (ATL) to Brussels (BRU) $1,489
- Cincinnati (CVG) to Frankfurt (FRA) $1,459
- New York Kennedy (JFK) to Amsterdam (AMS) $1,499
- New York Kennedy to London Gatwick (LGW) $1,299
